PRINCIPLE OF WORKING OF A FURNACE :

The Furnace Input energy and the furnace load has to be well balanced, hence the heat load calculation plays a very crucial role in the design and efficiency of any furnace. Hence high velocity heating has gained primary acceptance in modern day furnaces. The rapidly recirculating gases break down the layer of still air surrounding the object being heated and thereby effectively increase by convection method of heat transfer. The Temperature between any two points or areas inside the furnace chamber can be well measured and notably the difference shall be within the permissible limit. Due to low thermal mass the heat up times for the load or component and achieving uniform temperatures have become possible with Incertech furnaces. The Low thermal mass has all time surpassed the old refractory brick lining method due to its distinctive gains of lesser cost and lesser total heat input in reaching operating temperature.
